So after the art prior to this I stopped posting online for a while, I abandoned the DeviantArt account I had since 2004, and didn't draw for a month. That might not seem like much but trust me, not drawing for a month is a bad sign for me. ...So this was the first thing I drew after that point of not drawing and shortly after that started posting to Fur Affinity (anthro themed art site) and while all this was going on I started this god forsaken website. So here we are a year later and I'm finally ready to officially launch the site. It's not like it really took that long to put together but a lot has happenned in that time and it's just weird to reflect on that. Anyways, what you are seeing is the result of Roy deciding he is a possum, something to do with feigning death, amongst other things, all of which make perfect sense to us. I am a rat because, let's face it with all my years surrounded by rats they are my brethren. So before I get possum bites and Roy catches the plague: Never drawn a possum before, my freaking pencils were worn down to no more than three inches long, first time using Bristol paper, finally got flesh toned markers, and I totally overblended the markers. This first one was just me trying to draw a rat head at this angle and it turned into a sad looking thing. Very pathetic... And smoking because only cool people smoke, clearly. So this was just practice but I had a good bit of page left and I'll be damned if I'm wasting paper so Roy got tossed in. This is the first possum I've ever done! The second one I like a lot better even if the colouring is horrible... "OMG NO ONE UNDERSTANDS MY LOVE!!!" (Poor Roy.) The last one is That guy that pals around with Kade, only the skunk version. All of these are from my 6x6" Bristol sketchbook, Prismacolor markers/pencils, pen, and some metallic gel pen (ate by scanner) on the last one. © 2006 by J. Bardon |
