Alice Cooper as the Showman, basically this was copied from the comic "the Last Temptation". I looked at the comic and did a really bad freehand recreation on a much bigger scale. At this point in time I was really into comic books and spent considerable time trying to replicate my favourite images or draw in their style. As always, I wish I had more old work to archive, some of it was really neat (not this, so much) and think I learned a lot from studying other’s work. Also, Neil Gaiman’s depiction of Alice Cooper nailed the concept I was in love with exactly! Coloured pencil on 22"x28" posterboard, (poor quality photo). © 1999 by J. Bardon |
